Apartment Service Technician Confidential Jackson, MS 39212 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical background, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain various systems. This role involves working on facilities maintenance, fabrication, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently. The Service Technician will play a crucial role in providing high-quality service to our clients while maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Routine Maintenance:
Performing tasks like plumbing repairs (fixing leaks, unclogging drains), electrical work (replacing light fixtures, troubleshooting wiring), HVAC maintenance, and general upkeep of the property.
Repairing Appliances:
Fixing or replacing broken appliances like refrigerators, ovens, and dishwashers. Responding to
Requests:
Addressing maintenance requests from tenants and property management promptly and professionally.
Emergency Response:
Handling after-hours and weekend emergency maintenance requests.
Unit Turns:
Preparing vacant apartments for new tenants, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
Preventative Maintenance:
Conducting regular inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
Grounds Keeping:
Maintaining common areas, landscaping, and ensuring the property is clean and well-maintained.
Inventory Management:
Keeping track of maintenance supplies and tools.
Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
Collaboration:
Working with property management, other maintenance staff, and sometimes contractors.
Safety Compliance:
Ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with regulations. Requirements Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance. Familiarity with logic controllers and electrical systems. Ability to weld and fabricate components as necessary. A proactive approach to problem-solving with excellent attention to detail. Previous experience in residential painting is a plus but not mandatory.
