Maintenance Worker Town of Clarkton 81 North Elm Street, Clarkton, NC 28433

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible, reliable, flexible, and a quick learner.

Duties:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as reading utility meters, mowing grass, completing work orders, and Town plumbing repairs
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment to identify issues and ensure proper functioning
• Supervise contractors when necessary
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities and purchase orders when needed for repairs and department supply purchases
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards or repairs needed
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License
• Experience with residential and commercial plumbing or willingness to learn
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team effectively
