Full Job Description Job Summary:

The Maintenance Person at The Foundry Hotel Asheville, Curio Collection is a highly skilled individual responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of the hotel’s facilities, including the restaurant and public areas. This is a full-time, hourly position with a focus on maintaining the highest standards of quality and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player, have a strong attention to detail, and possess excellent problem-solving abilities.

Compensation & Benefits:

The Maintenance Person will be compensated at a rate of $20 to $23 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement plan, and paid time off.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and changing air filters Conduct regular inspections of the hotel’s facilities to identify and address any maintenance issues Respond to guest requests for maintenance assistance in a timely and efficient manner Ensure that all HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems are functioning properly Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including daily logs and repair reports Maintain and repair all kitchen equipment to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant Assist with setting up and breaking down of equipment for events and functions Monitor and address any safety and security concerns, including fire safety and emergency procedures Keep all public areas, including restrooms, lobby, and restaurant, well-maintained and free of any hazards Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for larger maintenance projects Maintain an organized inventory of supplies and equipment and request replacements as needed

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field preferred Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar maintenance role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities Proven ability to work independently and with a team Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening Familiarity with safety and security protocols and procedures
