Job Description
Parks Maintenance Worker-Recreation:
This full time position performs a variety of unskilled manual work and tasks requiring the use of simple motorized equipment and hand tools. Position maintains recreation parks and grounds including trash removal, bathroom/facility cleaning and sanitation. Position also maintains both indoor and outdoor recreation facilities as well as grounds including, mowing, raking leaves, trimming shrubbery, removing brush from grounds, planting trees, shrubbery, flowers, and assisting with the cleanup of athletic fields. Must have working knowledge of tools and equipment used in landscaping and maintenance of recreational facilities. Must be able to perform heavy manual work in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift 75 lbs. safely and be able to bend, stoop and climb in a variety of construction and maintenance situations. Must have a valid North Carolina driver’s license. Starting salaryis $ 32,706. Open until filled.
