Summary We are seeking a Maintenance Person to join our team at Cross Road Retirement Community. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and functionality of our facilities, contributing to the well-being of our residents in a supportive environment. Responsibilities General building and apartment Maintenance/Handyman knowledge required. Painting, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical knowledge are preferred. Must keep company vehicles fueled up weekly. Must drop company vehicles off to be repaired, serviced and inspected as they come due. Complete maintenance work orders in a timely manner. Replace air filters in the main buildings, apartments, and daycare 3 times a year. Check fire alarms in the apartments once a year. Must be confident in completing a wide variety of maintenance tasks. Someone who is proactive and stays on top of general building maintenance. (Lights, air filters, etc.) Must be comfortable working alone or with other maintenance workers. Ok working with minimal oversight. Responsible for going to purchase parts, appliances, or anything needed to complete work tasks. This job requires On-Call duties. This is a weekly rotation among all maintenance staff. Must have good customer service skills and be comfortable working in a retirement facility environment. Willing to take on other tasks and responsibilities not listed above as needed or directed by the supervisor. Requirements Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance. Strong electrical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with residents and staff. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Experience with logic controllers and welding is a plus but not required.
