Summary We are seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicated team at Cross Road Retirement Community. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained and safe for our residents. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of life for seniors in our community. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance tasks including electrical repairs, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Assist in the fabrication and installation of various fixtures as needed. Utilize tools such as an Ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics and repairs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Conduct residential painting and minor repairs to enhance the living environment. Supervise maintenance projects and coordinate with external contractors when necessary. Provide excellent customer service to residents, addressing their maintenance concerns promptly. Requirements Proven experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred. Strong electrical skills with knowledge of safety practices. Ability to fabricate and repair various components as needed. Familiarity with CMMS software is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach towards seniors. Basic welding skills are beneficial but not required.
