We’re looking for a motivated and dependable Environmental Services and Maintenance Support team member to take the lead on daily floor care, housekeeping tasks, and assist with general maintenance and painting projects. This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to help maintain our facility to the highest standards. Previous experience in environmental services is a plus, but not required—we’re happy to train the right candidate. Familiarity with floor care, painting, or basic maintenance is preferred and will help you succeed in this dynamic role.

Key Responsibilities:

Painting and Surface Preparation Complete painting projects as assigned by the supervisor. Prepare surfaces and surrounding areas properly prior to painting. Apply appropriate number of coats for even and long-lasting coverage. Post signage to ensure safety and awareness during painting tasks. Floor Maintenance Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping and mopping. Strip, wax, and/or buff floors to maintain cleanliness and appearance. Clean and maintain carpets through vacuuming, shampooing, and deodorizing. Housekeeping Duties Perform general cleaning including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal. Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, window ledges, and windows as directed. Ensure assigned areas are free from hazards and clutter. Store all equipment and supplies properly and securely during breaks and at shift end. Follow all safety protocols, including use of proper signage for wet floors. Maintenance Support Provide assistance with minor repairs and routine facility upkeep. Maintain clean entrances during inclement weather, including snow removal. Assist with plowing and outdoor maintenance as needed. Clean and maintain facility vehicles on a scheduled basis (minimum two per month). Report maintenance concerns promptly to the Facilities Manager or Maintenance Assistant.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in housekeeping, floor care, or maintenance roles is a plus. Basic knowledge of painting techniques and surface preparation preferred. Ability to operate cleaning and maintenance equipment safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions. Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
