Property Maintenance Position Available In Chemung, New York

Property Maintenance REInvest Property Management Elmira, NY 14904 Perform maintenance and repairs as qualified for numerous rental properties in the immediate area. Knowledge and experience in (at a minimum), painting, basic carpentry, plumbing, heating and electrical repairs. Availability to be on call as needed for emergency repairs and to dispatch contractor calls for more complex work.

Duties/Responsibilities Work independently to accomplish:

Respond to issues to determine a need for or effect necessary repairs in a cost effective manner. Performs general repairs. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. Assists with overhaul repairs on newly acquired properties as needed. Performs routine maintenance on building systems. Cleans and assists with upkeep of the properties. Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance. Performs other related duties as assigned. Must be willing to be on-call and perform emergency repairs when necessary. Must be able to interface directly with tenants or owners. Required Skills/Abilities Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers. Knowledge of general carpentry and repair. Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Basic computer skills necessary. Attention to fine detail necessary. Ability to maintain schedule and budget and work under pressure. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent Vocational or verifiable job training and experience Physical Requirements Be capable of safely lifting a minimum of 50 pounds Able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces. Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Supervisory Responsibilities We are looking for an individual capable of coordinating specialized contractors if needed (Electricians, Plumbers, AC Specialists, etc)
