Environmental Director 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Plattsburgh, NY 12901 Champlain Valley Senior Community (CVSC) is seeking a dedicated Environmental Director to maintain a clean, safe, and well-kept environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. This role combines responsibilities of groundskeeping, maintenance, and cleaning to ensure our historic community remains a welcoming and comfortable place to live and work.

Responsibilities:

Groundskeeping:

Maintain the outdoor areas, including lawns, walkways, and gardens. Seasonal care such as snow removal, leaf raking, and planting. Ensure safe and clear pathways for residents and staff.

Maintenance:

Perform routine building maintenance, electrical and mechanical systems. Complete minor repairs, including fixing leaks, replacing light fixtures, patching walls, and addressing facility needs. Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections to identify potential issues before they become major repairs Respond promptly to maintenance request from staff and residents Keep tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies organized and in good working order Conduct regular safety checks and report any major repairs needed. Assist with moving furniture and setting up for events.

Cleaning & Sanitation:

Keep common areas, hallways, and restrooms clean and well-maintained. Ensure resident rooms and living spaces are cleaned as needed. Follow infection control protocols to maintain a healthy environment.

Qualifications:

Experience in maintenance, custodial work, or groundskeeping preferred. Ability to lift and move moderate weights. A positive attitude and commitment to keeping our community safe and well-maintained. Willingness to work as part of a team and interact respectfully with residents and staff.
