As a Live-In Assistant Maintenance Supervisor (Local 32BJ) at our 659 unit residential community in Brooklyn, NY, you will play a vital role in ensuring our buildings and grounds are safe, functional, and inviting. You’ll perform a variety of maintenance tasks, from plumbing and electrical repairs to HVAC and carpentry work, all while upholding our high standards for quality and safety. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Must be willing to live on-site Perform property maintenance and facilities work.
Coordinate completion of resident and management service requests in a timely manner.
Prepare vacant units to occupancy standard within established time frame.
Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds; immediately address safety issues with management.
Conduct routine preventative maintenance activities in partnership with supervisor.
Partner with Maintenance Supervisor to prepare site for inspections.
Maintain workplace safety policies and standards.
Rotating on-call responsibility for emergency maintenance repairs.
Maintain inventory of building materials and supplies.
Must be a team player and be able to work with little supervision.
Support site and office operations as assigned by manager.

COMPENSATION

$24.36 / hour

Free 2 bedroom apartment on-site Qualifications 3+ years general residential maintenance or facilities experience.
Experience with affordable housing preferred
2+ years of supervisory experience.
HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting and electrical experience.
Experience with Real Page OneSite or other property management system preferred.
Must be willing to join Local 32BJ union
Emergency on-call roatation is required, as needed
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and be able to stand for an 8-hour shift.
