⚐ ⚑ ⚑ Skilled laborer/maintenance worker (Rochester New York) Itus Properties LLC compensation: $28-32/hr depending on skill level and experience employment type: experience level: senior level job title: General Maintenance Worker The General Maintenance Worker will operate on an on-call basis to do maintenance and repair work at several residential properties in Corn Hill and downtown Rochester.

Duties include:

• General maintenance and repair of equipment (e.g., snow plough, snow blowers, lawn mowers) and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work.
• Landscaping and grounds maintenance including mowing, snow ploughing, tree trimming etc.
• Replace electrical receptacle covers, switches; using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings; repairing or replacing sinks, toilets, painting structures and equipment; replacing damaged sheet rock, paneling, floor tiles, and ceiling tiles; hanging doors and installing door locks.
• Approximately 70% of work is performed outdoors at construction sites, maintenance facilities, and outside environments with exposure to inclement weather.
• Moderate physical demands; strength sufficient to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Safe and efficient operation of construction equipment like a high lift as well as operation of miscellaneous handheld tools.
• Follow safe work practices
• Performs work to ensure compliance with plans, internal policies, and city/county codes & regulations Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent, with a minimum of two (2) years experience in construction and/or actual performance of documented preventative maintenance
• Possess a valid Driver’s license
• Working knowledge (less than Journeyman) in carpentry, plumbing, masonry and painting
• Working knowledge utilizing carpentry, plumbing, masonry and painting tools and equipment
• Possess good organization and communication skills, as well as maturity and ability to deal with all levels of people, both inside and outside the company
• Ability to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Principals only.
