01/29/2025 11:35 AM is accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Helper – Maintenance Department. Maintenance Helpers’ duties vary according to assignments. While working with a Maintenance Assistant II assigned to field pumping stations, the duties would be assisting in the inspections and maintenance of the facilities and machinery, i.e. removing debris, landscaping, cleaning the station, etc. For a Line Crew assignment, the duties would involve assisting a Sewage System Mechanic in televising, inspecting and repairing sewer lines, manholes, etc. or responding to emergency situations involving flushing lines, clearing blockages, etc. When assigned to a Maintenance Mechanic, Maintenance Assistant I or II or any other mechanic or technician, the job duties would be assisting in the inspection, repair, preventative and/or corrective maintenance of machinery. Related duties could involve obtaining tools and parts, cleaning work areas, driving assignments, etc. Candidate must have working knowledge of the tools, terminology and practices used in maintenance; ability to use a variety of common hand and minor power tools; ability to understand oral and written directions; mechanical aptitude.

Minimum Qualifications:

None. Maintenance experience a plus.

Other Requirements and Information:

Possession of a valid driver’s license. Pre-employment medical examination and medical clearance for the use of respiratory equipment.
