Bilingual Passenger Van Driver & General Maintenance Worker – CDL (PRN) 2.4 2.4 out of 5 stars 1110 Rockland St, Reading, PA 19604 Position Summary The Passenger Van Driver/General Maintenance Worker will support BCHC in the operation of a passenger van to safely transport patients to designated locations locally and in accordance with established safe driving methods and standards and is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks necessary for maintaining health center and administrative office facilities in optimum condition for functionality, safety, and efficiency. Job Description Operate a multi-passenger vehicle to transport patients to and from designated locations, in accordance with established time schedules and assist with routing of stops. Practice safe driving techniques at all times and assure compliance with applicable state traffic and transportation laws, codes and regulations. Ensure vehicle operator and passenger safety with the use of safety belts and ensure any passenger belongings are stored safely. Ensure the vehicles are properly fueled and ready for use each day. Monitor daily and weekly trip inspection and preventative maintenance programs, as well as maintain current records regarding maintenance, inspection, and registration of all vehicles. Perform and document routine maintenance of BCHC’s vehicle(s) including, but not limited to: fueling the vehicle, cleaning the interior/exterior, checking vehicle fluids, tires, lights, and wipers to ensure the ongoing safe operation of the vehicle. Perform and document daily pre-trip interior and exterior vehicle inspection to ensure compliance with established reporting measures and report mechanical or safety device failures to manager. Prepare and maintain records and reports to vehicle operation and condition; maintain routine records of mileage. Maintain accurate vehicle and passenger logs of all trips in accordance with established requirements. Report all accidents immediately and complete all associated incident reports as required. Determine appropriate action in potential or real medical emergency situations according to established guidelines. Deliver and distribute envelopes, parcels, equipment, and other materials between medical center and administrative office locations, as well as between outside entities and set up for events including setting up of conference rooms for meetings. Plan and perform general facilities duties and maintenance, including but not limited to: General cleaning duties including cleaning of entry ways, floors and other areas as needed Grounds maintenance to ensure grounds are safe, accessible, and clean Hanging pictures, bulletin boards, dispensers, shelves, etc. Painting Furniture assembly Performing general repairs Performing miscellaneous installations Inspect fire extinguishers and exit signs according to schedule and maintain documentation Other duties as required
