Role:

As a Maintenance Assistant at Hilltop Healthcare & Rehabilitation, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the building and grounds of our nursing home. You’ll help ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors by performing day-to-day maintenance and repair tasks throughout the facility.

Daily Responsibilities May Include:

General building maintenance and repairs Landscaping tasks like mowing, trimming, and planting Minor plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work Changing light bulbs, cleaning air filters, and repairing light fixtures Painting, patching walls, and basic carpentry Maintaining door locks, windows, screens, and ceiling tiles Conducting safety checks and assisting with life safety code tasks Servicing equipment like commercial washers/dryers and refrigerators Participating in fire drills and emergency preparedness

What We’re Looking For:

High school diploma or GED preferred Prior experience with building maintenance, general repairs, or construction Familiarity with tools, safety standards, and common maintenance tasks Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and attention to detail Professional demeanor and a team-first mindset Compassion and respect for the elderly and individuals with disabilities This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving problems, and being part of a team that helps support the day-to-day operations of a skilled nursing facility.
