Position Summary:

The Facilities Painter is someone who deals directly with our internal departments and all staff and is responsible for the overall upkeep of our commercial facilities. This position reports to both the Paint Supervisor and Facilities Manager and the schedule is mostly Monday through Friday, however some weekends and holidays may be required. This is a full time, year round position, with opportunity for overtime.

Pay Rate:

The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  Minimum Age
• 18 years old due to type of equipment used and general work environment.
  Minimum Experience
• Two or more years of painting experience preferred.

Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Good to Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.

Expectations & Responsibilities:

Complete all assigned work orders received from the Painting Supervisor, or Facilities Manager, efficiently and to Resort standards.
Routinely inspect all properties to identify any potential opportunities and address current needs.
Must work both independently and in a team environment.
Must have an eye for detail in the trade.
Must possess good organizational and communication skills.
Uphold the core values and policies and procedures of the resort.
All other duties as assigned.

Essential Physical Requirements:

Must be in good physical condition and have the ability to move/lift heavy objects.
Must be comfortable climbing and working off ladders ranging from 6′ to 20′ heights.
Must be able to stand for a majority of the shift, while reaching, bending and stooping frequently.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds across short-medium distance.
Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements. Must be able to communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding.
