Maintenance Repair Assistant, Machinery Position Available In Horry, South Carolina

Duties may involve pipe fitting; HVAC maintenance; insulating; welding; machining; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; repairing building shelving , floors, mechanical lifts, floor scrubber, or other general maintenance .

• Essential Functions

• Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting mechanical devices , motors, belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions
• Inspect, operate , or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions
• Check and adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, gauges, plumb bobs, or straightedges
• Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using general tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or other general electrical equipment . Document and record services performed in computer system for future reference and tracking
• Order parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers.
• Tasks
• Assist with diagnosing mechanical problems and determining how to correct them while checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs
• Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery
• Align and balance new equipment after installation
• Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work
• Maintain or repair specialized equipment or machinery located on factor floor, factory cafeteria, offices, or common work areas
• Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
