Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. As an Assistant, you will be working directly under our Maintenance Manager, the responsiblity for performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our facility. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and systems to identify any issues or malfunctions
• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs
• Weld and fabricate parts as needed
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Troubleshoot and repair issues with logic controllers and other automated systems
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role
• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
• Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities
