Position Overview:
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual who is eager to begin a hands-on career in agriculture and maintenance. This is an entry-level position designed for someone 18 years or older who is ready to learn and grow in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and outdoor environment. Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, enjoy working outdoors year-round, and be willing to get dirty while taking pride in their contributions to the overall upkeep and appearance of the farm.

Our Team:
Perform a variety of physically demanding grounds maintenance tasks, including mucking stalls, weed-eating, digging ditches, fencing, and heavy lifting Assist with light carpentry, mechanical tasks, and general facility maintenance and construction projects Support basic janitorial duties including cleaning portable restrooms, wiping tables, and pulling trash Plant, maintain, and harvest crops such as strawberries, tulips, sunflowers, and assorted vegetables Help care for livestock and horses, including feeding, watering, grooming, trimming hooves, vaccinating, and cleaning animal areas Learn to safely operate and maintain equipment such as mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, tractors, skid steers, and mini excavators Maintain the farm’s appearance, including lawns, hedges, flower beds, trees, and pathways Assist with sustainable pest and weed control (Optional but preferred) Assist with seasonal landscaping design and implementation to support the farm’s aesthetic and agricultural goals Occasionally provide courteous assistance to guests and families visiting the farm Successful Candidates Have (Required Qualifications): High school diploma or GED required Must be 18 years or older Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor for extended periods Physical stamina and willingness to work in all weather conditions Dependability and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Strong desire to learn and grow within the agricultural and maintenance fields Good communication skills and a courteous attitude toward guests and co-workers Experience working with animals, landscaping, or equipment operation is a plus Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow instructions Equal Opportunity Employer Lucky Ladd Farms is an equal opportunity employer.
