Maintenance Worker Smoky Mountain Distributo 1548 Parkway, Sevierville, TN 37862 Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Part-Time Maintenance Worker to join our team. This role involves light office maintenance and basic carpentry tasks to ensure our facilities remain functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage time efficiently. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, repairing walls, doors, and furniture. Conduct light carpentry work, such as assembling and installing office furniture, shelving, and partitions. Inspect and maintain building systems, such as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), to ensure they are operational and efficient. Assist with general upkeep of the office environment, including minor plumbing and electrical repairs. Monitor and manage maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-stocked and properly stored. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address issues in a timely manner. Schedule preventive maintenance and address any necessary repairs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area. Provide support during office relocations and/or reconfigurations. Document maintenance activities and report any major issues to the management team. Qualifications Proven experience in maintenance work, particularly in an office setting. Basic carpentry skills and the ability to use hand and power tools effectively. Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently. Good communication skills and the ability to interact with various stakeholders. Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy objects, and performing tasks that require manual dexterity. Driver’s license and reliable transportation. Working Conditions Part-time position requiring approximately 15/ 20 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling. Work will be performed primarily indoors in an office environment, with occasional outdoor tasks as needed. Must be able to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods. May involve exposure to dust, noise, and other environmental elements. Compensation Competitive hourly wage based on experience and qualifications.
