The position of Athletic Crew also includes Town provided uniforms and work boots as well as weekly uniform cleaning services. What’s The Role? Working as an Athletic Crew member, you can expect to perform various athletic field maintenance that includes dragging/raking infields, chalking, lining and painting various sports fields according to specific dimensions, and setting baseball fields; adding infield mix and inspecting fields; aerifying and topdressing of fields; perform fence repair, operate mowers to maintain fields, edge sidewalks, and maintain landscaped areas; mulch leaves; spread pine straw, mulch, sand, gravel, or other grounds materials; lay sod or spread grass seed; apply fertilizer, pesticide, and herbicide; blow leaves/debris from walkways or grounds; pick up and dispose of debris/litter from ground areas; empty trash containers; clean and service concession stands and restrooms; shovel materials and apply paint to numerous items and structures. You will also assist with setup/breakdown for special events and activities; install holiday decorations; lift/move equipment, outdoor furniture, and heavy materials; load, transport, and unload event materials. Athletic Crew :

High School Diploma or GED; attention to detail and knowledge of athletic activities and maintenance/repair of athletic field is preferred. Previous experience and/or training in landscape maintenance and/or general maintenance work in area of assignment; OR any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
