- Parks and Facilities Worker (SEASONAL)

POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Parks and Recreation Workers can be assigned to a number of different duties depending on the season
- Seasonal duties may include: scorekeepers, program assistants, concession worker/cashier, gate attendant
- Additionally, some custodial assignments to include providing the general upkeep of parks, building facilities and grounds. This includes restrooms, floors, windows, furniture, equipment and special use areas
- Utilizes a variety of recreational, kitchen, and custodial equipment to include cash registers, scoreboards, stoves, popcorn machines, coffee pots, mops, brooms, pressure washers, leaf blowers, etc
- Utilizes various cleaning agents requiring mixing according to label instructions and use with prescribed safety precautions and directions
- Provides set-up for events and activities
- May be required to work some nights, weekends, holidays and possible overtime
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the work and ability to complete basic mathematics to include counting back change
- Must enjoy working outside and with the public
- Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license
- Must pass background check and drug screen.
