home. Follows established safety rules and policies and procedures of the maintenance department.

DUTIES OF THE JOB 1.

Maintains the building in good repair and kept free of hazards such as those cause by electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling system, etc. 2. Maintains the building in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. 3. Maintains the fire alarm and emergency generator system in good working order. Performs test fire alarm and emergency generator system required and keeps records of test results. 4. Keeps the heating and air-conditioning units in good working order at all times. 5. Performs monthly maintenance checks of the building, grounds, and facilities. 6. Performs routine maintenance and repair work. 7. Performs security checks of the premises as directed. 8. Attends in-service programs on a monthly basis. 9. Maintains the exterior grounds. 10. Is on call for emergencies as directed by maintenance supervisor. 11. Paints and performs minor carpentry and repair work. 12. Requisitions supplies through supervisor. 13. Participates in fire drills. 14. Maintains required records and reports as outlined in the policies and procedures of the maintenance department. 15. Performs duties of washing windows and screens outside of building. 16. Maintains the nursing home in a safe and clean environment. 17. Keeps work areas and storage rooms neat and orderly. 18. Follows established safety rules and policies and procedure of the maintenance department. 19. Changes light bulbs. 20. Inspects fire extinguishers on a quarterly basis. 21. Performs other duties as required by the Administrator.
