The company specializes in poultry slaughter and wholesale WOG sales. The processing plant operates one processing shift on day shift and one sanitation shift on night shift. Golden Rod Broilers, Inc. has been in operation since 1957. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Maintenance Manager at Golden Rod Broilers, Inc. This position manages 8-12 maintenance technicians and is responsible for maintaining all of the onsite facilities. Role Responsibilities Manage maintenance department effectively, consistently attain department goals / standards for cost, productivity, quality and safety. Manage capital program effectively, consistently complete assigned projects within budget and scope. Develop, maintain and continuously improve preventative maintenance (PM) programs to optimize efficiency, uptime and reduce operating costs. Oversees/manages maintenance work orders/maintenance tasks. Manage/monitor parts inventory. Identify ways to manage/reduce inventory levels. Optimize equipment operation time by utilizing employees to effectively carry out rapid equipment repairs and to effectively maintain equipment availability. Analyze production/maintenance reports to identify opportunities and initiate action plans to correct/improve efficiencies. Performs Process Safety Management (PSM). Monitor/manage systems and improve systems to maintain regulatory compliance and to maintain system safety. Provide quick and timely feedback to the plant manager on all exceptions in regard to downtime, quality yield, cost and safety and manage the correction of areas which are out of acceptable parameters. Provide mechanical and technical support on all facilities and equipment on property both inside and outside and remain current with the latest emerging industry regulations and codes related to mechanical and electrical systems. Monitor line operations and collaborate with management and the maintenance team to assure production needs and changes are being met. Oversees boiler and ensure compliance of routine operating inspections that are required for safety environmental on boiler and other applicable equipment. Responsible for professional development and training of department. Provide hands on assistance to any facility, equipment or grounds maintenance as necessary to include electrical or mechanical. Oversees projects whether performed with company employees or contractors. Ensure efficient and effective use of contract labor and ensure contractors meet all compliance requirements and company standards Conduct Monthly Safety Meetings and continually monitor staff to ensure safety protocols are being followed. . Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Knowledge of Poultry Processing Equipment and electronics controls. Strong industrial electrical knowledge 5 Years Poultry Plant Experience Technical Certifications and/or degree’s a plus.
