We are excited to wee a Maintenance Supervisor to our 1st-shift team!
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Operations Supervisor will organize and direct activities of workers engaged in repair, installation, and maintenance of grounds, facility, machines, tools, and equipment. They will provide technical and problem-solving support for the plant and maintenance crews; supporting and executing plant specific maintenance strategies to achieve performance goals. The Maintenance Supervisor will assure all issues are resolved in accordance with government regulations andpany policy and procedure.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and schedule Electro-mechanics and Maintenance personnel in Maintenance efforts ensuring effective and efficient utilization of assigned labor, equipment and repair parts to maintain control of maintenance costs
Coordinates and supervisespletion of u nplanned and p lanned Maintenance requests in accordance with standard operating and safety procedures of all equipment to minimize plant down time .
Coordinate with production management, maintenance personnel and outside vendors to direct scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs and changeover of new and existing equipm ent .
Use ERP PM system to report on Maintenance and equipment metricsbined with observations and operator feedback to be used in continuous improvement on equipment, safety, quality and Maintenance budgets. Source and order replacement parts for production equipment and plant facilities; meet with vendors regarding current products and new technologies .
Ensure Maintenance presence for anypany driven initiatives IE; Gemba Walks, Kaizen, Lean events.
Ensure all work is performed andpleted in conformance with any related codes or standards established by a manufacturer or regulating body
Ensure that work areas are organized and that housekeeping guidelines are established and maintained
Oversee and manage the fire and security alarm systems
E nsure employees are up to date with proper training onpany equipment and Safety policies as required by OSHA Regulations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Associate’s degree in Engineering , Industrial Management or related technical field; or equivalentbination of education and experience
6+ years maintenance experience with hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems in a n industrial environment; experience and knowledge of welding and fabricating are required
2+ year supervisory experience in a similar environment required
Proven troubleshooting skills to determine root cause to repair & improve machinery
Ability to read, understand and interpret electrical schematics and blue prints
Proven ability to be flexible and able to adjust to changing priorities
Proven leadership abilities and excellentmunication, decision-making and problem solving skills with an orientation towards maintenance planning and reliability-centered maintenance with a demonstrated record of delivering results
Must have basicputer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook is required; AutoCAD , PLC, ERP and CMMS background is beneficial but not required
Familiarity with Six Sigma, LEAN manufacturing, or TPM is desirable
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment (loud, dirty, confined spaces, etc.)
