THE JOB Coca-Cola Amphitheater is seeking a Maintenance Manager responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the venue by performing routine maintenance and repair tasks. The purpose of this position is to supplement the work of our event-day staff by providing a clean and presentable property prior to and following event days. This is a part-time, seasonal position at an outdoor venue.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Assist with venue projects, including but not limited to, painting, power washing, construction, building repairs, plumbing and electrical General grounds maintenance to include light landscaping, mowing, weed whacking and blowing between grounds services Use a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties. Perform general cleaning and upkeep of the venue property to keep the property free from debris and waste the day prior to and the day following each event Repair, maintain, and monitor all equipment and amenities to ensure they are in proper working condition Detect faulty mechanical, electrical and structural issues, and report those and any unusual situations to manager. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Perform opening/running/closing duties according to Live Nation policy. If applicable, driving forklift and/or other company vehicles and complete all required tasks that fall under those positions. Assist Venue Management Team with all show and event preparation including the placement, restocking, and removal of supplies, tents, tables, and chairs Properly remove and dispose of all waste prior to and after an event Receive deliveries as necessary Work with Operations Manager and General Manager to winterize and de-winterize venue Work with Venue Team to monitor preventative maintenance and warranty programs as necessary Keep work areas neat and orderly, clean equipment Report all incidents and accidents to the General Manager Other related duties to facility maintenance as assigned
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING 2-3
years of previous experience in facilities maintenance, handyman work, groundskeeping, or a similarly related vocational field Experience and certification in operating heavy machinery (bobcat, scissor lift, forklift) Basic understanding of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and general laborer duties Ability to use common hand tools and power tools Knowledgeable of and able to follow safety protocols for using equipment including tools, machinery, and ladders Be reliable and adhere to a schedule to complete tasks in a timely manner Be responsible with equipment and while performing tasks Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Self-starter with excellent time management skills Ability to push/lift 75 pounds Ability to climb ladders Ability to bend at the waist, sit, kneel, climb, walk, and crouch as the job may require Ability to work in extreme temperatures and high noise levels requiring hearing protection Ability to work around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, and paint
