Weyerhaeuser, a recognized leader in the North American woodproducts industry, is searching for a Maintenance Manager tosupport our state-of-the-art lumber facility in Millport, AL. Thisis a key leadership position in Millport’s Maintenance andEngineering Department and reports directly to the Mill Manager.
Millport is a quaint town located approximately 50 miles northwestof Tuscaloosa, AL. The Millport area is perfect for anyone whoenjoys living in a personal, tight-knit community – with theadvantages of proximity to outdoor recreational activities,shopping, dining and collegiate activities. Key Functions Developand manage all maintenance activities, with the safety ofassociates being the highest priority Lead preventive & predictivemaintenance/process reliability Drive improvement of keyperformance indicators, continuous improvement of maintenancefunctions, and department budget cost effectiveness Facilitate thedevelopment and training of associates including coaching,mentoring and development Participate and/or lead initiatives forcapital projects Assure purchasing functions follow establishedpolicies and procedures Lead in supporting, maintaining, andimproving processes associated with the computerized maintenancemanagement system for process reliability Identify safety,environmental, quality and production issues Collaborate with theproduction team to maximize productivity, minimize cost, and reducewaste
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher) At least5 years’ experience in a leadership role in an industrialenvironment A passion for safety and exceptional leadershipcapability in improving safety performance Knowledgeable in theareas of electrical, mechanical and PLC programming Provenexpertise in preventive and predictive maintenance methodsKnowledge of business and financial concepts Demonstrated successin managing capital projects Demonstrated results in achieving andsustaining business goals Ability to identify root cause ofproblems and effectively initiate immediate corrective action toprevent reoccurrence Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal andelectronic communication skills Demonstrated ability to raiseperformance by building and maintaining positive relationships withall associates through coaching, development and instilling acontinuous improvement mind-set Strong planning and organizationalskills Proven track record as a leader, demonstrating positiveinfluence and accomplishments in influencing safety, environmental,quality, productivity and people development Proficiency inMicrosoft Office, other Windows-based programs and internet skillsWillingness to support a 24/7 operating environment, which mayinclude weekend and holiday support as conditions require PreferredQualifications Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical orElectrical engineering, or related field Wood Products maintenanceexperience
What We Offer:
Compensation :
This role is eligible forour annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salaryrange of $106,917-$160,376 based on your level of skills,qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for ourAnnual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 15%of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to twotimes that target.

Paid Time Off orVacation :

In addition, after beingemployed for six months, eligible employees begin to accruevacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays peryear, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leavefor all full-time employees.
