Plus all of our associates are paid WEEKLY. We presently have an opening for a Maintenance Supervisor at our Elkmont, Alabama Manufacturing center. This position will report to the operations/maintenance manager and be responsible for managing the facility maintenance function through prioritization of machine repair, the purchase of repair parts, and the utilization of an aggressive / preventative maintenance program. Maintain the facility in a safe and proper operating condition. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. with every other Saturday and overtime as maybe required for the operation. Responsibilities Key Tasks Set assignments for the maintenance department by skill level Establish a priority status for projects Develop, implement, and schedule facility-wide preventative-maintenance program Continually upgrade maintenance personnel through on-going training modules. Enforce and promote safety rules and policies to prevent accidents and lost time injuries Perform new equipment installation Participate in the budgeting and capital equipment acquisition programs Purchase repair parts through continual interaction with external vendors Maintain entire facility upkeep Schedule, prioritize, and coordinate facility maintenance projects and determine necessity of overtime Maintain open communications and a positive associate relationship Provide services for continual improvement objectives Schedule and attend meetings relative to safety, maintenance, quality, and equipment. Be available across all three work shifts Responsible for developing and sending reports related to downtime and preventive maintenance completion. Escalate maintenance needs to manager with plan to resolve the issue(s). Evaluate each maintenance associate’s performance to ensure safety and quality operations. Investigate accidents and prepare relevant reports. Other duties as maybe necessary. Qualifications Qualifications A minimum of 10 years of prior machine/electrical repair experience. Three years minimum of hands-on CNC maintenance repair. Five years of leading a maintenance team. Must have at least a High School diploma or a G.E.D. equivalent. Two year Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance Proficient in diagnostic, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic processes Leadership and management skills Problem solving skills Computer literate with an emphasis on programs and ladder logic Team focused. Oversee and coordinate with the workers who maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, ventilation, hydraulics, cnc equipment and other building systems. Ability to hire hourly maintenance associates, and organize work schedules. Provide training to hourly associates coaching, mentoring in maintenance skill sets. Fully understand the English language including reading, writing, and speaking. All candidates must be at least 18 years of age or older. Flexible work schedule for projects
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds continuously for eight hours. Anything lifting above 35 pounds must have the assistance of another employee. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
