Job Description Summary The Lead Maintenance Engineer plays a key role in ensuring availability of manufacturing assets at the Huntsville Site. This role reports to the Operations Manager in a PSM-covered plant and will focus primarily on increasing OEE through RCFA and implementation of maintenance best practices. The Lead Maintenance Engineer will support production, maintenance, and small projects while acting as a mentor and subject matter expert. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Lead and/or Participate on RCFA investigations and implement recommendations Provide troubleshooting and assistance for unusual or persistent problems Collect and analyze reliability data, maintenance costs, and failure data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement Effectively communicate to Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams regarding plant strategies/performance measures and asset objectives/goals Work with Capital Project Engineering to define specifications and reliability/maintainability standards for new equipment Actively coach to facilitate learning and understanding to avoid repeat failures and events Work with the Reliability Specialists and Maintenance technicians to address deviations in equipment performance Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of reliability and/or maintenance engineering experience) Minimum of 3 years of reliability and/or maintenance engineering experience Desired Characteristics Minimum five years of Reliability and/or Maintenance Engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing site Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university, or Associate’s degree with relevant work experience Practical knowledge of reliability processes (RCFA, FMEA, LCCA) and predictive technologies (ultrasound, vibration analysis, thermography) Ability and willingness to work off shift, as required. Experience with CMMS and Maintenance processes Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with personnel from diverse backgrounds at all levels of the organization.
