Full Job Description Summary/ Objective:
Lead, develop and provide technical support to the department. Meet project timelines and continuous improvement to maximize production. Essential Functions (but are not limited to): Ensure the department follows safety and quality standards, and the appropriate training is effectively given to all employees. Oversee the maintenance of equipment and machinery and modifications to structure or layout of facility. Develop the skill levesl of the maintenance team to be self-reliant without Japan supporter. Oversee Tooling modifications and adjustments. Oversee ECI changes to tooling. Demonstrate a hands-on ability to solve problems and lead shop floor troubleshooting. Supports continuous improvement and achievement of
GSPH, MTTR, MTBF
targets Organize projects to be completed, delegating work to maintenance team members. Maintain contact with vendor to requisition materials and supplies for department and monitor a sufficient inventory. Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Build relationships with and attends training with equipment suppliers to maximize equipment capability. Confer with management and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, etc. to facilitate production processes. Identify potential quality problems from drawings and/or be able to work with design for problems that develop in production. Prepares department budgets and monitors department performance to budget. Regular attendance is required

Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience or training 5 plus years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred Ability to pass mechanical aptitude pre-employment test if required Ability to read and follow instructions Electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic knowledge is preferred. Omron, Mitsubishi, Fanuc PLC programming capability is a plus.
Environment :
Work is conducted in an industrial office/ plant setting. Frequent movement throughout an industrial plant environment being exposed to high noise levels and equipment normally used in stamping / welding/ Ecoat environments.
Physical Demands:
Able to lift up to 33lbs. Prolonged periods of standing on the plant floor. Extended periods of sitting in front of a computer. Able to traverse the plant facility. Willingness to work overtime/weekends as needed in support of production needs
