Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Maintenance Scheduler/ Parts Room Supervisor is a dual working role that schedules production equipment maintenance through the prioritization of ready work orders, equipment preventative maintenance (PM) due and emergency repair requests to minimize production disruption as well as oversees the day-to-day activities of hourly associates engaged in monitoring and distributing parts needed for repairs.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Evaluate maintenance work order load, upcoming PMs, any emergency repair requests, availability of parts and/ or equipment and time needed for repairs daily; prioritize and re-schedule repairs and PMs to maximize efficiently of maintenance staff while minimizing disruption to production Generate and update equipment preventative maintenance (PM) schedules, adjusting as needed to meet changing conditions (i.e. run times, production schedules, etc.) Maintain records for maintenance performed, parts used, cost, etc. for effective analysis Develop and maintain the back log of ready to complete work orders for maintenance staff Run and distribute open item report, verifying accuracy of report, and distribute to appropriate personnel Create work orders as needed ensuring all information is complete and accurate Oversee the day-to-day activities of associates engaged in monitoring and distributing parts Mentor, coach and train/ cross-train employees encouraging career development; provide consistent feedback concerning strengths and areas in need of improvement Identify opportunities for improvement, present to appropriate leader, and implement, lead or participate in solution implementation Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in all areas where mandatory helping to promote a zero-accident culture Perform additional relevant duties as assigned

CERTIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Minimum two (2) years’ scheduling/ planning experience Demonstrated leadership experience including policy adherence, conflict resolution and the ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively Ability to effectively assign tasks to maintenance techs Demonstrated experience in general and preventative maintenance in a manufacturing environment; experience in the poultry is preferred Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a timely and professional manner; multi-lingual strongly preferred Ability to handle and resolve most issues in an efficient and effective manner while ensuring confidential information is relayed only on a need-to-know basis Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects, planning skills, and a high attention to detail Must possess a strong customer-centric attitude, high energy level and a strong sense of urgency
