Exempt ROLE:
Through use of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), the Maintenance Planner has a key responsibility in ensuring that the manufacturing equipment is pro-actively maintained through an effective preventative and predictive maintenance program as well as being able to respond to breakdowns safely and efficiently to minimize machine downtime.
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS
This role will utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Equipment Asset Management (EAM) system to maintain work order progression, record history and identify parts usage in a timely and effective manner. Function as the primary liaison person between maintenance and operations. Prepare predictive maintenance (Pd.
M) plans and maintain preventative maintenance (PM) programs that are aligned with the organization’s goals Assist with the design, setup, and maintenance of the storeroom Coordinate with external vendors as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maximize the use of the CMMS System, to: Manage work orders from request through to approval Review work orders to ensure all critical and required information is captured (complete description of problem, all fields are selected, work requested is viable) Ensure timely update of work order status to reflect the stage it is in the process. (in planning, waiting for parts, waiting for quotes, etc.) Estimate labor hours, tools, and resources needed to complete work orders Maintain integrity of PM program, i.e., checklists, trigger, frequency, compliance, and schedules Build new PM schedules as needed. Manage the scheduling of maintenance activities and ensure routine and regular communication within the team and to individuals or other teams affected. Monitor, create and manage PM schedules and Pd. M programs Prepare weekly schedule and facilitate weekly scheduling meeting with invested parties. Prepare weekly, daily schedule for maintenance supervisor (with assigning personnel to the job) Receive and process daily schedule and late work report from previous day Lead communication between maintenance and other internal beneficiaries of maintenance work to ensure that everyone receives timely, efficient, and quality service. Coordinate planned downtimes to reduce mean time between failures and minimize interference with production schedules. Conduct daily workorder review meeting with key contributors. Conduct weekly ready to schedule meeting with key production contributors. Conduct monthly backlog meeting with maintenance leadership. Management of equipment spare parts inventory levels Make recommendations for reorder point and order quantities based on utilization analysis Update value of stockroom inventory regularly Maintain Storeroom in a clean and orderly fashion complying to GMPs, SQF, Yum Brands and Panda Express policies. Ensure parts are only checked out for appropriate use, and documented Place incoming items in the appropriate storeroom location in a timely fashion Establish and maintain equipment parts catalog, equipment history, storeroom, min/max levels, cycle counts, critical spares, inventory level adjustments based on history. Maintain all equipment/machine documents, booklets, and inspections records Research parts and supplies Complete purchase requisitions and route for approval Create and use BOM’s, pick list, job kits for jobs requiring stocked parts. Order and source non stocked parts based on needs. Assemble job kits as needed Source new vendors Obtain quotes Primarily responsible tracking, updating and maintenance of electronic and/or physical documents, records, and inspections in support of: Quality requirements such as: Siliker, Yum, GMP, SQF, and Yum brands audits. Preventative maintenance programs Standard job packages Plant sanitation certifications. Oil sampling and analysis records. Safety and environmental training, tracking and audits Maintain lock and key cabinet program. Maintain and issue LO/TO padlocks and supplies. Coordinate with Safety Coordinator/Manager to ensure third-party contractors are compliant with Genpak’s Maintain Contractor Safety Program(s). Standard Work Processes or Standard Operating Procedures Work with service suppliers such as: Uniform and/or carpet rental service provider Vending services Landscaping service Always work in a safe manner following all established safety rules and regulations and attend all safety meetings. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Able to obtain and maintain Powered Industrial Truck Certification (forklift, clamp, scissor lift, etc.) and
Lockout/Tagout Certification Requirements:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED Knowledge of PC and Network based software including Word Processing, Spreadsheet and Database applications. Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of machine function preferred Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints and or schematics is a plus Research and problem-solving skills required
