Job Description
Industrial Maintenance Supervisor 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 1435 Red Hat Road, Decatur, AL 35601 •Salary determined by experience level •Inspecting facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance. This position is responsible for supervising a staff of (2-3) Maintenance Technicians and overseeing three (3) machines in our facilities. Hands On Maintenance Supervisor with strong knowledge regarding PCL is a plus. An excellent Maintenance Supervisor must be reliable and have a great eye for detail. They must have technical skills and knowledge of various crafts. Leadership and knowledge of administrative tasks such as scheduling are also essential. The goal is to ensure that facilities are in a good and safe condition at all times.
Responsibilities:
To perform any necessary maintenance task. To contact any outside service to provide any maintenance services. To reorder any replacement parts. To put together PM systems and make sure, they are effective. To complete any necessary paperwork. Basic operating of all machinery. Keep a spare parts inventory. Report any issues to Plant Manager.
Maintenance Supervisor Job Duties:
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. Coordinate maintenance worker efforts to make sure employer property like buildings and grounds are kept up Identify areas for improvement and assign workers to take care of issues Respond to emergency calls for maintenance Manage the set up and take down of different events Perform troubleshooting to solve minor repair issues Contact and schedule repairmen and extra help as needed Perform administrative tasks as required Delegate tasks to meet maintenance schedule and satisfy employer needs Qualifications Experience in maintenance of industrial equipment Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, blue prints, and lay out drawings. Related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience Basic machine operation training
