Role Summary:

As the VP, Facilities Leader for Headquarters, this role will report to the Synchrony Facilities Leader and will directly manage facility operations for Synchrony’s Stamford Headquarters and the New York City Office. You’ll lead day-to-day site management, overseeing mechanical systems, occupancy planning, employee workspace restacks, office buildouts, expansions, and maintaining EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) standards. The responsibilities encompass collaboration and management of site contract personnel, to ensure proper execution and maintenance. In addition this role will support the execution of large scale events hosted at our HQ and NYC hubs.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordination, planning, and execution of facility projects and initiatives at the HQ and NYC hubs, including enhancements, space moves, expansions, and infrastructure changes. Partner with functional teams, to include the Facilities Experience team, to understand business needs, gather feedback, and deliver top-quality facility management services on time. Actively lead and innovate solutions for improved service delivery and operational efficiency. Manage facility-related vendor agreements, ensuring all providers such as engineering, cleaning, food service, etc. meet contracted Service Level Agreements and the highest quality expectations. Oversee preventive maintenance and ensure compliance with all building infrastructure requirements. Conduct regular service performance reviews with vendors and address operational challenges promptly. Assist Facilities Leader in monitoring and managing facility operating budgets; review allocations and challenge costs as appropriate. Drive continuous improvement through regular communication, process enhancements, and status reporting. Manage site builds, reconfigurations and similar type projects to a successful and timely outcome Work with HR to administer space planning, including seating coordination and facility floor plan updates. Facilitate smooth site personnel and asset relocations. Provide on-call support and have the flexibility to work evenings or weekends, as business needs arise. Collaborate closely with Site Leadership, HR, Synchrony Events staff and Facilities Experience to deliver successful events, overseeing setup and integration with AV/IT. Manage day-to-day meeting room setups, AV coordination, and catering/food service logistics. Serve as the main point of contact with building landlords regarding site operations and repairs. Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and 5+ years in a facility management role in a corporate environment, including site relocation, construction, and office build-outs; OR in lieu of degree; 7+ years in facility management role in a corporate environment, including site relocation, construction, and office build-outs Availability to be on-call and work a flexible schedule, including possible weekends. Onsite role- this role is not eligible to work remotely.

Desired Characteristics:

Outstanding customer and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leadership. Strong strategic, implementation, and change management mindset. Knowledge of commercial leases, contracts, and accounting practices. Familiarity with building systems, operations, and mechanics. Proven project management expertise; adept at multitasking and working autonomously. Exceptional organizational skills and a collaborative approach to leadership.

Grade/Level:

12 The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 – 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge. Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

You must be 18 years or older You must have a high school diploma or equivalent You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act. New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
