The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, along with exceptional leadership skills. This role is crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction, managing service operations, and driving the overall success of our automotive service team. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery. Manage a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a positive experience for all clients. Coordinate scheduling for vehicle maintenance and repair services, optimizing technician productivity. Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the service area. Assist technicians with complex repairs as needed, utilizing expertise in automotive diagnostics and repair. Implement effective inventory management practices for parts and supplies. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team to enhance service quality. Skills Proficient in automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques. Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices including oil changes, brake repairs, and diesel engine repair. Experience with cash handling procedures and financial transactions related to service operations. Ability to write detailed service reports and communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle needs. Familiarity with alignment processes and other specialized automotive services.
