Manager of Facilities and Maintenance Sunseeker Florida, Inc. Charlotte Harbor, FL Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor is currently searching for a Manager of Facilites & Maintenance! The Facilities and Maintenance (MOF&M) is responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the Facilities & Maintenance department, as well as maintaining the physical structure and working order of the hotel’s electrical, plumbing, HVAC and gas systems. Responsibilities also include maintaining the exterior appearance and overall safety of the building, parking lots, and common areas; ensuring all equipment in guest rooms is in working order, conducting monthly safety inspections and training staff on safety/emergency procedures and communicating with vendors. The MOF&M will need to be willing and able to respond to emergencies, take the lead on maintenance projects and understand capital expenditure needs. A crucial part of this role is to supervise the day-to-day operations of the department, fostering a positive work environment by engaging, leading, and working alongside associates in a friendly and professional manner. This role will support the Chief Engineer. All duties are performed in accordance with the department and Sunseeker Resorts policies, practices and procedures. Job Duties Supervise Engineering operations in the absence of the Director of Engineering and Chief Engineer, providing steady leadership and guidance. Oversee day-to-day Engineering operations, ensuring seamless functioning of the department and efficient execution of tasks Provide leadership and direction in the development, execution and measurement of service standards to include the management of all technical trade classifications (e.g., Engineers, Painters) consistent with the company’s standards. Responsible for ensuring the functional operation of resort areas such as: facility management and maintenance to include building, parking lots, guest rooms and common areas, industrial hygiene, chemical safety, equipment safety, and project planning. Monitor all building systems (automation systems, fire systems, electrical, elevators, HVAC, hotel, and preventative maintenance) as well as all engineering equipment and machinery. Ensure always in primal working order and troubleshoot when necessary. Assist in obtaining and maintaining necessary permits and licenses for building and physical plant operations, ensuring compliance with facility regulations and safety standards. Assist in maintaining the grounds, meeting rooms, ballrooms, public spaces, restaurants, hotel vehicles, and recreational facilities Coordinate with all support departments (Front Office, Convention, F&B, Security and others) to understand immediate operational needs; provide deconfliction of facilities and expert support that is compliant with policies and regulations; follow through to ensure successful completion. Supervise the distribution of repair work orders and monitor the timeliness and quality of completion through HotSOS program Manage administration, cost, schedule and performance of all trades and functions; evaluate critical issues/impacts, and ensure the optimal utilization of resources and talent. Support project teams by ensuring all work scope falls within the approved facility authorizations and is executed safely and securely by following established processes and procedures. Assist in evaluating and implementing new technologies, equipment, and supplies to enhance efficiency and performance Exercise discretion and independent judgment when evaluating new programs, new services and new ideas. Stay abreast of property goals in order to create, support and present departmental goals to executive leadership. Continue to learn and be on the forefront of new technology for the hotel industry. Create ways to further enrich the guest experience by continuously reviewing, implementing and refining procedures to ensure every opportunity to offer extraordinary guest experiences while maintaining a culture of smiles and retention of luxury standards. Proactively seek guest feedback and liaise with other departments when opportunities present themselves ensuring a seamless and elevated guest experience. Manage guest requests and own all complaints; resolve issues immediately and follow up to ensure the guest’s satisfaction. Develop collaborative relationships and synergy with all support departments such as Convention Sales & Services, Facilities, Security, Front Services, Front Office, F&B, Golf Course and Executive Offices. Foster a management team that possesses and delivers on key strategies of guest service, employee relations, team cooperation, financial responsibility and asset management. Ensure all accounting, payroll and employee relations matters are handled in compliance with company policy. Observe service behaviors of associates, provide feedback, and continuously strive to improve service performance to include conducting associate performance appraisals according to standard procedures. Actively solicit and address associate feedback, maintaining an “open door” policy, and continuously improving associate retention. Escalate issues to Human Resources as needed. Perform other functions as needed. Minimum Requirements Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Sunseeker Resorts performs criminal background checks on all candidates. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Minimum of five (5) – six (6) years of experience of Facilities leadership or another Facilities/Maintenance/Trade leadership role in a large hotel/resort setting Electrical certification.

This position requires extensive overall engineering/maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting ability with skills including, but not limited to, HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, carpentry, heavy machinery, and industrial tool usage.
