Summary:
Lipman Family Farms is seeking a Maintenance Technician to be part of our team. Lipman is a privately-owned family farming company. In fact, we are the largest grower of tomatoes in North America. We take pride in being a refreshingly dependable source of fruits and vegetables for our customers.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic systems; ability to diagnose and repair breakdown of equipment. Ability to analyze and set up new systems stated above. Knowledge and skill to analyze problems and properly repair with the most economical method. Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics. High School diploma, GED required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Programmable logic controllers:
1 year (Preferred) Mechanical knowledge/experience: 1 year (Preferred)
HACCP:
1 year (Preferred) Manufacturing maintenance: 1 year (Preferred) Preventative maintenance: 1 year (Preferred) Use of drills, grinders, lathes, welder, oxy/acet torches, other hand/power tools, etc.: 1 year (Preferred) Operate forklift equipment: 1 year (Preferred)
Machine Repair:
1 year (Preferred) Responsibilities of Maintenance Technician Perform Setups on machines in a timely manner Perform electrical testing use of Multimeter. Respond to machine problems throughout warehouse. Perform other duties as required and/or assigned. Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations under the direction of the Facilities Manager. Diagnose, estimate repair time, and perform repairs to primary production machine equipment, secondary equipment (including but not limited to parts washing machines, pumps, motors, hydraulics, air lines and conveyors). Perform preventive maintenance per facility standard operating procedure. Perform tasks associated with any upgrades to existing equipment and production machines. Perform Maintenance and repairs on all material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts. Make general repairs to the facility including, but not limited to, plumbing, piping, air lines, floor patching/painting and carpentry work. Operate machine tool equipment such as drills, grinders, lathes, welder, and oxy/acet torches. Operate forklift equipment to assist in machine repair. Work from blueprints, spec sheets and any available documentation associated with the task. Keep/maintain records of work performed in accordance with facility standard operating procedures. Fill out and complete repair requisition forms. Follow all safety and environmental policies and procedures of OSHA Regulations.
