Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Facility Maintenance Manager to oversee the daily upkeep and operations of our neighborhood clubhouse and its surrounding amenities. This role is critical to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff. The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance experience, strong organizational skills, and a proactive, customer-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and oversee routine maintenance of the clubhouse, restrooms, pool area, fitness rooms, meeting/event spaces, and surrounding outdoor facilities Troubleshoot and repair minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry issues Schedule, supervise, and coordinate work with outside vendors and contractors (e.g., landscaping, pest control, HVAC service) Conduct regular inspections of the property and equipment to identify and address maintenance needs Maintain a maintenance log and ensure compliance with safety, fire, and health regulations Order and manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies Ensure cleanliness of all clubhouse areas, including occasional janitorial duties or oversight of cleaning staff Support setup and breakdown for community events Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests from management Provide input on long-term facility improvement and repair projects Maintain security and access systems (locks, cameras, gates)
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training preferred 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance, building operations, or a related field Knowledge of basic building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.) Ability to read/understand equipment manuals Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy Basic computer and communication skills (for logs, emails, vendor coordination) Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work indoors and outdoors, and use ladders/tools safely Valid driver’s license required
