JOB DESCRIPTION
Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent; five years’ experience in building trades or maintenance. 5 years of Management experience required.

Preferred Qualification:
Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Experience in healthcare or institutional setting. Has a good knowledge of carpentry, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing and preventive maintenance. Must have good leadership and organizational skills and the ability to motivate team members.

Essential Functions:
  • Ability to work independently without continuous supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and complete assigned tasks; employee must be able to follow written and verbal instruction.
  • Good listening, organization, and communication skills.
  • Performs scheduled preventative maintenance and work orders received in Maintenance Dept.
  • Assigns workload to maintenance staff.
  • Coordinates working safely in an environment of staff, patients and visitors.
  • Assures quality of work performed by maintenance staff meets Centerstone’s standards.
  • Coordinates projects/activities with other departments.
  • Trouble shoots, maintains and repairs.
  • Carries out other duties as required or requested.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Operates in indoor and outdoor settings and spends time in professional offices, outpatient behavioral health and addiction treatment settings. May be exposed to fumes from paints, solvents and other maintenance materials. Regularly required to observe, use speech and hearing to interact with others in person, via telephone, using computer technology and in writing. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and may be required to lift 50-75 pounds infrequently. Requires the ability to climb ladders, reach, bend, twist and stoop. Requires the ability to manipulate and use hand tool and power tools. Occasionally requires the ability to work outdoors during inclement weather.

Position Type, Expected Hours of Work and Travel:

Full time, non-exempt position. Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and evening hours if needed. Required to travel locally from one company location to another and to purchase supplies. May be required to work in 24 hour rotating shifts during natural and manmade disasters or other facility emergencies. Has on call responsibilities.
