KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The New Pacific Airlines Director of Maintenance (DOM) is responsible for maintaining overall authority and responsibility for the Maintenance Department, including aircraft maintenance production and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and operational standards. The DOM plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the airworthiness, safety, and reliability of the fleet in accordance with FAA regulations and company policy. Other responsibilities aligned with New Pacific’s Core Values include but are not limited to: Upholding safety by ensuring aircraft are returned to service in full compliance with the Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program, FAA regulations, and all applicable OEM guidance. Demonstrating commitment through oversight of the Maintenance, MCC, and Stores departments and ensuring aircraft reliability through effective policies, training, and operational coordination. Acting with integrity when serving as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities and essential/nonessential maintenance providers, maintaining transparency and accountability in all maintenance operations. Embodying the spirit of connectedness by collaborating across departments—Flight Operations, Quality Control, Training, and Stores—to ensure seamless and efficient maintenance planning and execution. Showing reliability through proactive maintenance management, policy enforcement, contract oversight, and consistent communication with senior leadership regarding fleet status, compliance, and resource needs. Promoting commitment by engaging in courteous and respectful interactions with customers, supervisors, co-workers, and business associates.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will be an experienced maintenance leader with strong regulatory knowledge, leadership capability, and a proven track record in aircraft maintenance management.
Other qualifications include:
Must possess a high school diploma or GED Must hold a current FAA mechanic certificate with both an Airframe and Powerplant rating. Must meet the requirements of 14 CFR § 119.67(c). Must have one year of experience in a position responsible for returning airplanes to service. Must have at least one year of supervisory experience and at least five years of experience in the past six years in one or more of the following: Maintaining large airplanes with 10+ passenger seats, including at the time of appointment as Director of Maintenance Maintaining aircraft in the same category/class as used by the certificate holder Repairing aircraft in a certificated airframe repair station rated for similar category/class aircraft Must have working knowledge of the maintenance sections of the Company’s Operations Specifications and applicable 14 CFR Part 121 maintenance provisions. Must have recent experience that satisfies 14 CFR § 119.67(c) requirements at the time of appointment. Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS). Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently. Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
