Electrical Maintenance Supervisor – Industrial Talent Foundry International Miami, FL 33166 Electrical Maintenance Supervisor A well-established industrial facility in Medley, FL, is seeking a Electrical Maintenance Supervisor / Maintenance Engineer II – Electrical to join its operations team. This salaried role reports directly to the Technical Services Manager and is responsible for leading the electrical maintenance crew, ensuring equipment operates efficiently, and overseeing cost-effective maintenance programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and support preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities for plant equipment, quarry systems, and electrical infrastructure. Manage power systems, control panels, instrumentation, and automation (including PLC systems) through routine inspections, evaluations, and repairs. Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and electrical systems to restore reliable operation. Lead and supervise Electrical Maintenance Technicians, providing coaching, guidance, and performance management. Facilitate training for new hires and cross-train current team members to maintain operational flexibility. Enforce and maintain strict safety practices in line with corporate policies and legal regulations. Plan and implement infrastructure improvements or upgrades related to power distribution and motor control systems. Organize and manage resources, such as labor, parts, and tools, to support both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Administer a calendar-based preventive maintenance strategy to ensure long-term equipment reliability. Maintain all workspaces, machinery, and tools in a clean and secure condition while addressing safety and operational concerns promptly.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred). Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical leadership within an industrial or mining setting. Familiarity with NFPA 70E, NEC, and CFR 30 Part 56 regulations. Experience with power systems up to 13.8 kV required; exposure to systems up to 230 kV is a plus. Hands-on expertise with large industrial electrical equipment, including MCCs, VFDs, transformers, large motors (AC/DC), generators, and high-voltage lines. Proficiency in interpreting and developing schematics, ladder logic, process flow diagrams, and logic circuits. Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications and project management tools; experience with CMMS is advantageous. Solid understanding of root cause analysis principles. Proven leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. A focus on safety, ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards. Knowledge of limestone quarrying processes and equipment is a plus. Prior experience with heavy machinery in a construction, quarry, or mining environment preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in English (spoken and written) is preferred. Physically able to lift 50 lbs, navigate confined spaces, and perform tasks that involve climbing, kneeling, and crawling. Must be flexible with work hours, including days, nights, weekends, and on-call assignments. Positive, goal-oriented mindset capable of working independently or as part of a team. Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record. MSHA Surface Electrical certification (preferred or willing to obtain within 18 months).
