Duties and Responsibilities:

This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position Responsible for managing the electronic inventory systems and databases. Required to liaise with the Mechanical team in planning and executing operations. Responsible for building project schedules. Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in business or contract administration. At least five (5) years’ experience managing electronic inventory systems and databases, similar to the MMS prescribed by SFRTA, particularly with respect to functionality. Demonstrated experience in the management of an MMS system on another railroad or transit property. Familiarity with the terminology and processes of a commuter rail operation. Demonstrated ability to manage the procurement process from beginning to end. Proficiency in commercially available software systems, both as a user and to resolve other user issues. Demonstrated ability and availability to respond immediately to user problems. Ability to become proficient in Herzog proprietary software systems, demonstrate and teach the use of internal systems. Experience preparing and delivering presentations to internal and external stakeholders. Ability to assist in the development and implementation of reports and record keeping procedures. Demonstrated experience in the preparation of scopes of work, proposal evaluation, insurance certificate evaluation, issuing contracts and invoice review. Ability to meet a flexible work schedule.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review. Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this position. Successfully complete and maintain and required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.

Frequently use a computer keyboard and office related equipment. Requires occasional standing, walking, lifting, stooping or bending. Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position. Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals as required by the position.
