Assists with providing overall management for facilitymaintenance. Provides daily oversight and quality control of allaspects of facility maintenance. High School Diploma or equivalentrequired. Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited school ortechnical certification preferred. One to Three years of experiencein facility/maintenance supervisory capacity and Electrician, HVACor Plumbing license preferred. Assists with providing overallmanagement for facility maintenance. May provide supervision to theMaintenance Department in the absence of the Facility Manager.

Manages, supervises and trains Job Corps’ Work-Based Learning andLeisure Time student workers assigned to the MaintenanceDepartment. Qualifications o Follows all integrity guidelines andprocedures and ensures no manipulation of student data. oResponsible for assisting with the management of facilitymaintenance through planning, budget control, staff training,scheduling and evaluation. o Assists with managing and assurance ofquality control of all facility and equipment subcontract workperformed on Center, including oversight of NationalOffice/Facility Lessor (i.e. any 3rd party) projects as they impactCenter Operations. o Assists with coordinating with CenterManagement in CTST project planning sessions and CTST/MaintenanceMeetings to ensure that CTST construction activities meet Companyquality control standards. o Assists in the development,implementation and management of the Center energy conservationprogram. o Assists with the development, management and effectiveimplementation of a computerized work order system, includingtimely corrective and preventative maintenance. Work orderprocessing should be coordinated with CTT instructors to obtainstudent involvement in this process. o Assists in the preparationof scopes of work required for subcontracts, with commensuratepunch lists developed and completed to ensure that contractor workis conducted in accordance with the subcontract and the quality ofthe work is performed to local, Company and Government standardsand expectations. o Fills staff vacancies in a timely manner.

Effectively motivates, empowers and requires staff to performhis/her job responsibilities. Employs sound time-management anddelegation skills. Holds staff accountable for producing qualitywork, develops staff for career progression and disciplines staffthat fail to meet goals. o Provides required/supplemental trainingfor new and current employees. o Motivates and manages staff towork effectively, creates a supportive work environment, recognizesstaff accomplishments and proactively addresses staff performanceconcerns. o Mentors, monitors and models the Career SuccessStandards as required by the PRH. o Shows respect and courtesy tostudents and holds them accountable for their actions and behavior.o Provides quality services for students and ensures that qualityis maintained and student needs are met. Pursues improvement andenhancement of requisite services. o Exchanges ideas andinformation, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concisemanner and contributes meaningfully to group efforts by offeringrelevant ideas and knowledge. Provides quality and timelyinformation to DOL/Company when requested. o Effectivelyarticulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzescauses and evaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking orrecommending actions.
