KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The New Pacific Airlines Manager of Maintenance Control is responsible for overseeing daily aircraft maintenance operations by directing Maintenance Control personnel and providing technical guidance to ensure safe, efficient flight line performance. The Manager of Maintenance Control is responsible for the initial course of action by Maintenance Control when an aircraft experiences a discrepancy during revenue service. The Manager of Maintenance Control is a key liaison with Flight Operations and Maintenance Planning, ensuring aircraft are dispatched in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Other responsibilities aligned with New Pacific’s Core Values include but are not limited to: Upholding safety by promoting adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and the Safety Management System (SMS), and by ensuring technical accuracy in maintenance decisions and troubleshooting guidance. Demonstrating commitment through active coordination with Maintenance Planning and Stores to manage MEL repair intervals, daily aircraft utilization, and scheduling of corrective maintenance. Acting with integrity when maintaining complete records of operational activity in the Maintenance Control Summary, ensuring accurate and timely communication with crews and internal departments. Embodying the spirit of connectedness by working closely with Flight Operations, Maintenance Planning, and Line Maintenance to promote effective maintenance scheduling and minimize operational disruptions. Showing reliability through the hiring, scheduling, and oversight of Maintenance Control staff, approving time off, and supporting long- and short-term maintenance planning in partnership with the Maintenance Planner. Promoting commitment by engaging in courteous and respectful interactions with pilots, supervisors, and maintenance personnel, particularly during time-critical troubleshooting situations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and decision-making skills with demonstrated technical experience in aircraft troubleshooting and dispatch readiness.

Other qualifications include:

Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Must hold valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificates. Must possess a valid U.S. Passport. Must have at least one year of experience in a role responsible for troubleshooting and returning large aircraft (over 12,500 lbs.) to service. Must have experience in a Lead or Supervisory capacity within the past five years (preferred). Must have strong knowledge of CFR parts 5, 43, 91, and 121. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Must have in-depth knowledge of Boeing 757 and Dash 8-100 systems and preferably knowledge of the New Pacific Airlines Minimum Equipment List policies. Must be familiar with Trax software and maintenance planning systems. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret technical documents, respond to inquiries, and present complex information clearly. Must possess strong organizational and multitasking abilities, be detail-oriented, and capable of making accurate decisions under pressure. Must have the ability to interpret technical data (e.g., FOQA and FDR reports) and diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting and decision-making. Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS). Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently. Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.
