Full Job Description Electrical Maintenance Supervisor Job Summary:

The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the service, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment and fixtures, including motors, lighting systems, transformers, and other electrical components. This role ensures that all electrical maintenance activities adhere to best practices and comply with safety and regulatory standards. The supervisor leads a team of electrical maintenance workers, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of electrical maintenance workers. Ensure the proper service, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment, including motors, lighting, transformers, and other fixtures. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and corrective actions for electrical equipment. Maintain compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA, and local codes. Conduct regular inspections to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems. Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and provide timely solutions. Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies and parts for maintenance tasks. Provide training and guidance to staff on safety practices, electrical systems, and maintenance procedures. Prepare and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and reports. Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and company policies regarding electrical maintenance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical technology, or a related field. Proven experience in electrical maintenance and supervisory roles. Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, including motors, lighting, transformers, and other electrical components. Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant safety and compliance regulations. Electrician License may be required, depending on local or state regulations. Ability to supervise and mentor a team effectively. Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
