This position will be responsible for managing complex R D projects, cost reduction and standardization efforts. The group will also support the District Service Offices in developing generic and site-specific outage plans including occasional outage execution. The position requires occasional travel to project sites to participate in field walk-downs, TMS meetings and outage support as determined by the DSO. How You’ll Make an Impact Responsible for developing and optimizing processes to improve safety, quality, and schedule of generator outages. Maintain standard schedules, labor models, cost models, and generic tool lists Write new procedures, work packages, and develop new tooling as the need arises Monitor outage load planning and tool allocation Manage special programs to implement fleet wide solutions Develop training material and teach classes as needed What You Bring Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or related field. Or combined equivalent (extensive experience/educational background including potential technical certifications or degrees). 5+ years of experience in the field of power plant maintenance or construction. Dedicated and resourceful to achieve goals independently while also collaborating effectively in teams. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing work for yourself and others, under strict timelines and being flexible to changing needs. Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong technical writing skills. Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and ability to learn others as needed). Flexibility and willingness for domestic and international travel 20%.
