Job Description
General Manager of Maintenance Operations Confidential Boca Raton, FL 33432 The General Manager of Maintenance Operations position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to support onsite maintenance staff and operational processes to support the achievement of the company’s business goals and objectives. The position oversees the maintenance division and ensures that the team is completing work orders as to the standards and expectations of the client and of the company. This position acts as the sales leader to foster new leads to becoming a new customer. Job Details The position is fundamental to the operational functions of the company and as such requires established organizational skills, with attention to detail and solid time management, and good interpersonal skills. Supervise and assign tasks to the maintenance staff. Ensure quality of work performed and alignment to contractual services Prospect and onboard new customers Serve as business leader for division within a larger organization Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Handle and work along with vendors on jobs performed. Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures. Obtain estimates for supplies and repair parts. Order parts and supplies as needed. Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required. Physical Demands While not a part of the day to day, this position can be very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee may frequently lift and/or move items over 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Qualifications Minimum two (3) years as a Maintenance Supervisor with responsibilities of managing direct reports. Ability to sell and execute on new leads to contract General experience in building trades, repair and replacement maintenance or handy-work. Must have the ability to be at the work location. Ability to operate on software and computer systems Must have the ability to react and address all emergency situations in a timely manner. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to provide professional written reports and make recommendations to the Property Manager and the Client on the maintenance needs of the property.
