Candidates must have previous service experience and should have a broad-based knowledge in the day-to-day operations of a dealership service department and the personality to motivate, train, lead, and monitor the performance of service professionals. The Service Lane Manager will oversee all day-to-day service operations. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Job Responsibilities:
Must be proficient in all aspects of Service Department operations Will help oversee day-to-day operations of the automotive service department Is responsible for personal management of all service employees and tracking things such as CSI and team growth Coordinate vehicle repairs and maintenance services Will help make sure all repair orders are finalized and closed as soon as possible, especially at the end of each month Must have great customer service skills and ensure quality control and customer satisfaction Work with the Parts Manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs Work with shop foreman to ensure customers vehicles are serviced properly and in a timely manner Handle and resolve customer complaints Motivate, train and develop employees Requirements Prior experience in a dealership or automotive service environment Strong customer service skills are a must Must be able to manage a team, motivate and develop Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and customer service skills Must have clean and valid driver’s license.
