Fleet Maintenance Manager 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars Sarasota, FL 34234 The role of the Fleet Maintenance Manager is to oversee and participate in the proper upkeep and maintenance of the forklift/loader/sweeper fleet for the organization. The successful candidate will have 2+ years of fleet maintenance experience and the necessary skills to manage department technicians. This role will interface with multiple departments and must be able to multi-task and prioritize daily duties.
Job Duties:
Develop fleet/equipment maintenance procedures and ensure implementation Carry out inspections of equipment to identify and resolve issues Plan, prioritize, and oversee repairs for all equipment Submit purchase requests for items needed to do repairs Train and mentor Fleet Maint. Tech Train operators to perform inspections and preventative maintenance Create preventative maintenance schedules and ensure they are followed Monitor parts inventory and place orders when necessary Monitor expenses and control the budget Foster good relationships with contractors and service providers Supervise and lead fleet maintenance processes and operations Ensure all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures Follow up on repairs (both inhouse and vendor) to ensure they are correct Propose new equipment purchases proactively Ensure all equipment fit for safe operation/Check operators equip. inspections Maintain all KPA records as necessary Communicate equipment issues, developments, and timelines with management Communicate operator issues and developments with management Coordinate staff training/development with management Conduct annual reviews for Fleet Maint.
