Facility Maintenance Director Confidential Saint Augustine, FL 32085 Job Summary The Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within the facility, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning optimally. This role involves leading a team of maintenance professionals, managing maintenance schedules, and implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in industrial maintenance, with a focus on safety and compliance. Duties Supervise and coordinate the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective repairs and maintenance of equipment. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery. Utilize tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and logic controllers for troubleshooting and diagnostics. Fabricate parts or components as necessary to support maintenance activities. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory management. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all maintenance operations. Provide leadership and training to team members to foster skill development and enhance performance. Skills Proficient in industrial maintenance practices with a strong mechanical knowledge base. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters effectively. Familiarity with low voltage systems and logic controllers. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on maintaining operational efficiency. Effective communication skills to collaborate with various departments within the organization.
