Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee day-to-day maintenance operations for our apartment community. This hands-on role involves supervising maintenance staff, completing work orders, conducting preventative maintenance, and ensuring the property remains in excellent condition for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate maintenance staff and daily work assignments Respond to and complete resident service requests in a timely manner Perform general maintenance tasks: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, and painting Manage preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and building systems Oversee unit turns, including inspections, repairs, and cleaning Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with property policies and regulations Maintain inventory of supplies and order materials as needed Assist in emergency maintenance as needed, including after-hours calls Communicate effectively with property management and residents
Qualifications:
3+ years of apartment or facilities maintenance experience Proven leadership or supervisory experience Strong skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Valid drivers license and reliable transportation HVAC certification preferred (EPA Universal a plus) Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions
